Why structure matters in recovery
Recovery grows through consistent action. Structure creates predictability, accountability strengthens trust, and shared expectations allow every resident to focus on building a stable and independent life. These rules are designed to protect the safety of the home, support personal responsibility, and preserve a community where recovery comes first.
Every resident is expected to communicate honestly, accept guidance, respect other guests, and take responsibility for their choices. Asking for help early is a sign of strength and can prevent a temporary challenge from becoming a setback.
House standards
- Maintain a substance-free home. No possession or use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or unauthorized mood-altering substances.
- Cooperate with testing. Submit immediately to random drug and alcohol testing when requested.
- Protect the safety of the community. No violence, threats, weapons, theft, criminal activity, harassment, or sexual conduct on or near the property.
- Honor curfew and pass requirements. Follow house curfew and obtain manager approval for exceptions or overnight passes.
- Stay actively engaged in recovery. Attend required AA or NA recovery meetings, work with a sponsor, and remain active in recovery.
- Maintain a productive schedule. Maintain employment, school, volunteer work, or approved outpatient treatment as required.
- Care for the home. Complete assigned chores, keep rooms and shared spaces clean, and respect the home and other guests.
- Follow visitor expectations. Visitors require manager approval and may not be under the influence.
- Disclose medications. Prescription medications must be disclosed and approved by management.
- Meet financial and behavioral responsibilities. Guest fees must be paid on time; rule violations may result in immediate discharge and forfeiture of unused fees.
Accountability is part of belonging
Residents receive the complete house agreement during admissions and are responsible for understanding all current expectations. Questions should be brought directly to management.
